Your Museum Transformed

The Saint Louis Art Museum has made great progress on its first major expansion in a generation. Site excavation and the foundation for the underground parking garage were completed in June. Crews have been working early hours during the hot summer months to pour concrete walls that now line the exterior of the parking garage.

Designed by London-based architect David Chipperfield, the more-than-200,000-square-foot expansion will provide new galleries, public space, and a 300-space, below-grade parking garage, as well as a new, fully accessible entrance on Fine Arts Drive.

Explore our site to learn more about the project and how you can get involved in the effort.

The Museum is open to the public during construction and will continue to operate on its current schedule. To make the most of your visit, please check the calendar of events, here.
